Biography
I am a lecturer in media and cultural studies, with research interests in gender and feminism in Africa, black feminist theory, transnational feminist cultural studies, and global consumer cultures. Before joining Βι¶ΉΣ³» in 2016, I was a fellow in qualitative research methods at the London School of Economics.
I received my PhD in gender and cultural studies in 2015 from the department of Culture, Media and Creative Industries at King’s College London. I have a master’s in gender studies from the African Gender Institute at the University of Cape Town, and a bachelor’s degree in social studies from Harvard University.
Before academia, I worked in publishing in Nigeria, running an independent publishing house, Kachifo Limited.
