Keep your software up-to-date

Old software can be vulnerable to attack.

Keep your operating system, web browsers and other applications up-to-date. On your personal devices, make sure Automatic Updates are turned on.

Desktop computers provided by IT Services will be kept secure and updated, but you should check that your laptop, home computer, phone or tablet is also updated. If you鈥檙e not sure how to do this, refer to your manufacturer鈥檚 guidance.
